Oasis Academy Brislington are seeking to recruit an experienced and qualified SENDCo to work alongside the senior leadership team and ensure the effective deployment of SEND support for all of our SEND learners.

The successful candidate will be an excellent classroom practitioner and have a secure understanding of pedagogy so that they are able to inspire and coach others to deliver inclusive-high quality teaching in all classrooms. You will be passionate about providing holistic support to students including learning support, emotional and well-being support and communication and interaction support. Our SENDCo is supported by our highly experienced HLTA Deputy SENDCo who leads the large team with knowledge, passion and a relentless drive to ensure SEND learners secure parity of achievement with their peers.

KS4 outcomes for our young people with an EHCP were above national average in 2025; a testament to the excellent support that they received and our unapologetically ambitious curriculum for all learners. Leaders at Oasis Brislington recognise and value the skills and commitment from all colleagues and we have put in place a robust program of Professional Development for all teachers and Teaching Assistants.

The Academy Oasis Academy Brislington is part of the Oasis Community Learning family, a multi-academy trust with the express purpose of transforming schools into community hubs, through applying a holistic view of education. The SENDCo will have support through working in collaboration with SENDCos from our partners academies within the Trust and from our National Lead Practitioners. This is an exciting time to join us at Oasis Brislington, under the leadership of newly appointed Principal.

We are a large and oversubscribed secondary academy with 1,360 students on roll. The academy was inspected by OFSTED in October 2021 and was categorised as a Good school by the inspection team.
