Intervention Teacher Hanson Recruitment is working with a large number of schools across the South-West which require teachers, teaching assistants and cover supervisors. We are currently partnering with a specialist SEN school in central Bristol which is seeking a dedicated and resilient Intervention Teacher to join their team on a full-time basis. The role is based in a specialist SEN school catering for pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs and will primarily involve delivering targeted intervention sessions designed to boost GCSE outcomes.

This will predominantly be with Year 11 pupils in small groups or 1:1 settings. The ideal candidate would be an experienced teacher or a skilled intervention specialist who is passionate about helping young people achieve meaningful qualifications and next-step opportunities. Pay rate: £150-£180 (subject to experience and qualifications). This role is full-time during school hours, term-time only.

Responsibilities include:

Deliver small group and 1:1 intervention sessions Provide focused support to raise attainment in GCSE Maths and English Identify gaps in learning and implement effective strategies to close them Track pupil progress and adapt teaching approaches accordingly Work closely with the wider teaching and pastoral team to support pupils holistically Qualification and attributes:
Has experience teaching Maths and/or English to GCSE level Has experience working with pupils with SEMH needs Is confident delivering both small group and 1:1 intervention Is resilient, patient and able to build strong, trusting relationships Is committed to improving outcomes for vulnerable learners By registering with Hanson recruitment, we can offer you:
