As a teaching assistant, youll be making a real difference to pupils learning, independence, and daily school life. You will be working in a range of settings, including: SEMH (Social, Emotional & Mental Health) schools Mainstream schools with high-need or EHCP (Education, Health and Care Plan) pupils Schools that support pupils with complex physical and medical needs Responsibilities in this teaching assistant role include:
Supporting pupils with additional needs in lessons and around the school Providing personal care and assistance with mobility, as required Helping students stay focused and engaged in their learning Promoting inclusion, independence, and emotional well-being Working alongside teaching staff and therapists to deliver consistent support Qualifications and attributes:
Experience as a social care worker, support worker, or in a residential care setting Comfortable with personal care and supporting physical needs Calm, compassionate, and adaptable approach to supporting children and young people A good level of written and spoken English is essential Passionate about helping pupils achieve their full potential in an educational setting We offer:
