Protocol Education is working with a wide range of schools throughout Wiltshire, seeking passionate and dedicated History Teachers. This is an exciting opportunity to inspire young minds and share your love for History within vibrant and supportive school communities.
The RoleAs a History Teacher, you will deliver engaging lessons to students aged 11-16 (and potentially 16-18 for A-Level). You will support students' academic and personal growth while upholding each school's values and ethos.
Key Responsibilities:- Plan, prepare, and deliver dynamic History lessons aligned with the national curriculum.
- Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback to support achievement.
- Manage classroom behavior to foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop schemes of work and share best practices.
- Contribute to extracurricular activities, such as clubs and trips.
We seek enthusiastic individuals with a strong passion for History and education. The ideal candidate will have:
- Qualifications:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or Early Career Teacher (ECT) status preferred. Strong subject specialists with a relevant degree in History or related field will also be considered, even if unqualified. - Experience:
Teaching History at secondary level is desirable but not essential for ECTs or unqualified teachers. - Skills:
Excellent communication, organizational, and classroom management skills. - Attributes:
Creative, adaptable, and committed to fostering a love of learning. - Desirable:
Knowledge of GCSE and A-Level curricula and assessment frameworks.

Pay rates include 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This is a temporary position, with potential for permanence later.
