Protocol Education is working closely with friendly, supportive primary schools to find a passionate and flexible Fully Qualified Teacher for Primary PPA cover on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays, starting after half-term.
This is a brilliant opportunity for an early‑career teacher to gain experience across different year groups, support children’s learning, and make a real impact in the classroom. You’ll be part of a welcoming team, helping to deliver engaging lessons while developing your teaching skills in a supportive environment.

The RoleYou’ll plan and deliver engaging lessons across the primary curriculum, providing high‑quality PPA cover with support from experienced colleagues and teaching assistants. You’ll create a calm, positive, and inclusive classroom where children feel safe, supported, and ready to learn, maintaining strong routines and fostering positive relationships. You’ll assess progress, adapt learning to meet a variety of needs, including SEND, and work as part of a collaborative team that values wellbeing, reflection, and professional development.

Full‑time, consistent PPA cover work in local primary schools
Paid to scale, with weekly pay
A dedicated consultant who understands ECT and FQT support
Opportunities to explore different year groups and school settings
Local placements, minimising unnecessary commuting
A clear, straightforward booking and compliance process
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), including FQT/ECTs
Interest in primary teaching across EYFS, KS1 & KS2
Positive, calm, and nurturing approach
Willingness to learn, reflect and develop your practice
Strong communication and relationship‑building skills
Team player, keen to support school life during PPA cover
Passport
Two proofs of address, such as driving licence, utility bill, council tax statement, P45 or P60
CV covering the last 10 years, with any gaps explained
Two years of references, including education references
Overseas police check if you’ve lived abroad for three months or more in the last five years

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
