Full‑time or part‑time A welcoming primary school in Hillfields is looking for a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to provide focused 1:1 support.
This role is ideal for someone with strong SEN experience who is passionate about helping pupils access learning in a supportive, structured environment.
Provide consistent 1:1 support for a pupil with additional learning needs. Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement personalised strategies. Encourage engagement, confidence and emotional regulation. Support classroom routines, transitions and small‑group work.
Candidate ProfilePrevious SEN experience is essential Calm, patient and adaptable approach Strong communication and rapport‑building skills Level 2/3 TA qualification advantageous Driving licence beneficial SEN training highly valued, including:
Understanding Autism ADHD Awareness Team Teach / De‑escalation Training Trauma‑Informed Practice BSL or communication‑based training Makaton (highly desirable for supporting communication needs)
Supportive, collaborative school environment Access to ongoing SEN‑focused CPD A role where you can make a real impact on pupil progress Competitive day rate, dependent on experience
