Lyde Green are looking for a dynamic Deputy Headteacher to join our senior leadership team, driving staff development and upholding the highest standards of pupil welfare and academic success.
** About the role
** As an integral part of our senior leadership team, you will work closely with the Headteacher to develop and implement a clear strategic vision for the school. You will serve as a primary role model for teaching and learning across both of our sites, leading by example and supporting all members of the teaching team to achieve their very best.

While you will undertake significant management responsibilities and deputise for the Headteacher when required, you will also maintain teaching responsibilities to exemplify excellence for your colleagues. Furthermore, you will work collaboratively with the Trust HR team to ensure the teaching team is effectively managed and well-supported in their professional development. Throughout all your duties, you will act as a champion for our school values, ensuring the safety and welfare of our young people remains at the heart of everything we do.

Lyde Green Primary is an oversubscribed and unique school, based at Lyde Green near Bristol. Since being built and opened around 10 years ago, the school has grown and changed rapidly, and now is about to enter the next stage of its journey by opening a second site, less than 1km from the existing site. Over time, the school will grow to a capacity of over 800 pupils, split across two outstanding two-form-entry facilities.

The role of deputy-headteacher will be a critical role in developing and delivering our new aim of ‘two amazing sites, one great education’. In addition to the provision of 840 mainstream school places, we also have an equally unique 16 place Access Centre for pupils aged 4-7, with a primary diagnosis of Autistic Spectrum Disorder.
