Teaching Assistant for Children with Mental Health Needs – Bristol

Key Details- Start ASAP
- £90 - £125 per day, depending on experience
- Full-time, Monday - Friday 8.30am to 4pm
- Term time only
- Bristol – BS16
- Ideal for Psychology/Counselling Graduates
A school that specialises in accommodating children with Social, Emotional and Mental Health Needs is looking for Teaching Assistants to support children with behavioural and mental health issues.
Responsibilities- Working with SEN students aged 8 to 18 to support their wellbeing and personal development.
- Work alongside the therapists and psychologists based on‑site at school.
- Build frontline, practical experience with young people with significant SEMH needs.
- Gain invaluable experience working with Special Needs such as Autism and ADHD.
- Graduates who have qualified in Psychology, Counselling or Criminology OR a good education background (GCSE’s in Maths and English) plus prior experience as a Teaching Assistant for children with mental health issues.
- Enthusiastic and passionate about making a difference in the lives of children with SEMH.
- Resilient and confident to work with challenging behaviour.
