Lead Academic Mentor (Post 16)
Location: Bristol, Bristol
Salary: £35,412 per annum (actual salary £33,685 pro rata)

Hours: 37 hours per week, 43 weeks per annum (39 weeks term time, plus 20 days working across the year)
Probation period: This role is subject to passing a satisfactory probation period.
Cotham School, a successful, vibrant and diverse 11-18 comprehensive school, wishes to appoint an experienced Lead Academic Mentor (Post 16). This post is a Permanent post.
The successful applicant will have the necessary knowledge, skills and vision to lead the Academic Mentoring team at Cotham Post 16, part of the North Bristol Post 16 Centre. Your role will include oversight of the 16-19 bursary and taking a creative and practical approach to removing barriers to learning for some of the most under-resourced young people in the city.
You will lead the work of the mentoring team, managing and undertaking one-on-one mentoring with students to provide personalised academic support. Additionally, you will coordinate and deliver workshops focused on developing study skills, helping students to improve their academic performance and achieve their educational goals. You will join a passionate and united Post 16 team, invested in providing the best possible life chances for our young people regardless of their starting points.
