English Teacher (QTS) Maternity Cover Andover
Prospero Teaching is seeking a committed and enthusiastic English Teacher (QTS) to join a supportive and well‑established secondary school in Andover on a full‑time maternity cover basis starting after April 2026
.

The Role:- Teach English Language and English Literature across KS3 and KS4
- Deliver lessons following established curriculum and planning frameworks
- Take on full teaching responsibilities including planning, marking, and assessment
- Support pupils of varying abilities and contribute to raising attainment
- Attend department meetings and collaborate on resources and assessments
- Maintain high standards of behaviour and classroom management
- A fully qualified English Teacher with QTS/QTLS
- Strong subject knowledge across KS3 and KS4
- Experience delivering GCSE English (any exam board)
- A proactive, reliable, and organised classroom practitioner
- Someone who enjoys working in a collaborative, supportive team

After April 2026 - Salary: £32,916 – £51,047 per annum
- Contract Type:
Full‑time Maternity Cover - Key Stages: KS3–KS4
- QTS/QTLS essential
- Experience teaching English at secondary level
- Safeguarding training required (can be provided)
- Right to work in the UK
- Enhanced DBS (update service) or willingness to apply
- Two recent teaching references
- Free accredited CPD including safeguarding & behaviour management
- Support from a dedicated consultant
- Smooth interview and onboarding process
- Access to additional long‑term and permanent roles
