Monarch Education is recruiting a motivated and forward‑thinking Careers and Pathways Lead to join a supportive secondary school in North Bristol. This full‑time, long‑term role has an immediate start
, with the exciting potential to transition into a permanent school contract.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about raising aspirations, guiding young people through their post‑16 options, and building strong employer and college connections. The role would suit individuals with a background in pastoral support, behaviour management, youth work, career coaching, or mentoring
, who are confident working with students across KS3 and KS4.
- Leading the school’s careers provision and ensuring a high‑quality programme.
- Supporting students with post‑16 planning, including college applications, apprenticeships, and vocational pathways.
- Delivering careers sessions, workshops, and one‑to‑one guidance to help pupils explore future opportunities.
- Organising employer encounters, careers fairs, workplace visits, and guest speaker sessions.
- Building and maintaining partnerships with local colleges, training providers, and businesses.
- Monitoring and tracking student progression data and maintaining accurate records.
- Working closely with pastoral teams to support students who may face barriers to future education, employment, or training (EET).
- Experience supporting young people in a school, college, youth, or careers environment.
- Confident working with secondary‑aged pupils, including those with additional needs or behavioural challenges.
- Strong communication, organisation, and relationship‑building skills.
- Full‑time availability for a long‑term role with the ambition to secure a permanent position.
- Careers‑related qualifications (e.g., Level 6/7 Careers Guidance or similar) are beneficial but not essential
