Summary

We are currently seeking to fill the position of Teacher of Psychology / Head of Psychology at Badminton School.

Position:
Teacher of Psychology (Maternity Cover).

Location:

On site, Westbury‑on‑Trym, BS9 3BA

Hours:

Temporary, part‑time position covering maternity leave (approximately 0.8 to 0.85 FTE).

Start date:

Monday 27 April.

Closing date:
Monday 2 March 2026 at 8:00 AM.

• To teach Psychology in an interesting and challenging manner enabling each pupil to realise their potential.
• To stimulate and foster enthusiasm for Psychology within the school.
• Prepare lessons taking account of pupils’ abilities within each teaching group/set.
• Participate in the development of appropriate specifications, materials and schemes of work.

• Appropriate academic qualifications – a good degree in Psychology (or equivalent).
• Qualified Teacher Status.
• Experience of working with young people in some capacity.
• Demonstrated clear understanding of the subject and ability to employ a range of effective teaching styles and assessment methods.
