Contract: 1-year fixed term (September 2026 - August 2027)
Hours: Monday to Friday, 40.5 hours per week (3 days 8:00‑4:00, 2 days 8:00‑5:30), 38 weeks per year
Salary: National Minimum Wage (FTE £21,157 aged 18‑20 / £24,784 aged 21+; actual £19,211 / £22,504)

What you’ll be doingYou’ll play an active role in school life, supporting both sport and classroom learning, as follows:
- Assist in delivering PE lessons to pupils aged 4‑11
- Support teaching staff with lesson preparation and classroom activities, particularly in Reception and Key Stage 1
- Contribute to co‑curricular sport and wider school activities
- Undertake supervision duties and support pupil wellbeing
- Help prepare resources and maintain classrooms and learning spaces
- Provide general administrative support to staff
- Attend fixtures, events, meetings and occasional evening activities
- You’ll be a motivated and enthusiastic individual, ideally looking to gain experience in education or sport
- GCSEs in English and Maths (Grade 4/C or above)
- Strong communication skills and ability to build positive relationships
- A genuine passion for sport and working with children
- Organised, proactive and able to use your initiative
- A flexible team player with a positive, ‘can‑do’ approach
- Awareness of safeguarding and commitment to pupil wellbeing
- Interest in fitness or strength and conditioning is advantageous
- Gain valuable, hands‑on experience in a leading independent school
- Be part of a supportive and high‑performing PE and teaching team
- Develop your skills in coaching, teaching support and pastoral care
