About the Role

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Primary SEN Teacher to join our supportive and inclusive school community in Leicestershire. This is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of children with Special Educational Needs, helping them to achieve their full potential in a nurturing and structured environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to meet a range of special educational needs.
  • Support pupils with diverse learning difficulties, including ASD, ADHD, and speech and language needs.
  • Develop and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and track student progress effectively.
  • Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, therapists, parents, and external professionals.
  • Create a positive, inclusive classroom environment that promotes independence and confidence.
  • Use a range of strategies to manage behaviour positively and effectively.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Experience working with primary-aged children with SEN (in a specialist or mainstream setting).
  • A strong understanding of safeguarding and inclusive education practices.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Patience, resilience, and a genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs.
