12.5 per week (Monday to Friday, 11:30am - 2:00pm), term time only excluding INSET days. Salary (FTE): £24,796 per annum. Salary (Actual): £7,020.62 per annum.
Contract:
Fixed-term until 31 August 2027, subject to review based on the school’s budget, kitchen provision, and meal uptake levels.

The RoleWe are looking for a Catering Assistant to join our friendly team and to help provide healthy, enjoyable meals for our pupils. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working as part of a team and wants to make a real difference to the school day for children.
Responsibilities and Requirements- Experience of working in a catering, kitchen or fast‑paced service environment.
- Enthusiastic, reliable and enjoys working as part of a team.
- Can support the preparation and serving of food.
- Flexible and able to adapt to support a smooth and efficient lunch service.
- Maintains a calm and positive approach when working with children.
- Communicates well with pupils, staff and visitors.
- Understands the importance of hygiene, health and safety standards.
- Is friendly, approachable and takes pride in their work.
- Shares the school’s vision and values.
This post is covered by Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) and therefore the ability to converse at ease with pupils and other users and provide advice in accurate spoken English is essential for the post.
