A well-established, student-focused further education college in Bedfordshire is seeking a Technical Lecturer in Plumbing to join its Construction department. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced plumbing professional with teaching and assessment experience to help develop the next generation of skilled tradespeople.

The Role- Deliver high-quality teaching, learning, assessment and verification across Plumbing programmes.
- Support learners to achieve their qualifications and progress into employment or further study.
- Develop engaging schemes of work, lesson plans and learning resources that reflect current industry standards.
- Monitor learner progress, provide constructive feedback and maintain accurate records.
- Contribute to curriculum development and continuous improvement activities.
- Support learners through tutorials, enrichment activities and employer engagement opportunities.
- Participate in quality assurance processes and ensure compliance with awarding body requirements.
- Promote safeguarding, equality, diversity and inclusion, health and safety, and positive learner behaviour.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues and contribute to wider curriculum and college activities.
- A Level 3 NVQ in Plumbing and Heating.
- Current Gas Safe certifications such as CCN1 and CKR
1. - An assessor qualification.
- Strong industry experience within plumbing and heating.
- Experience delivering and assessing Plumbing qualifications at Levels 1–3.
- Knowledge of current qualifications including 9189, 6035, 7202 and 8202 frameworks.
- Up-to-date understanding of industry developments, including energy efficiency and water regulations.
- Excellent organisational, communication and relationship-building skills.
- A commitment to safeguarding, continuous professional development and inclusive learning.
- Salary up to £38,169 per annum (Pro Rata) plus up to £10,000 market supplement.
