We're working with a specialist SEND school looking for Behaviour Support Mentors to support children and young people with complex needs, including:

• Autism (ASC)
• ADHD
• Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs
• Trauma and attachment difficulties
• Challenging behaviour
• Communication difficulties

This isn't your typical classroom role.

Some pupils may struggle to regulate their emotions. Some may have experienced significant challenges outside of school. Others simply need a trusted adult who won't give up on them.

That's where you come in.

Many of our most successful Behaviour Mentors come from policing backgrounds.

Not because they're authority figures, but because they know how to:

• Stay calm under pressure
• Build relationships quickly
• De-escalate conflict
• Set clear boundaries
• Assess risk and keep people safe
• Remain patient when situations become challenging

Every day you'll be helping young people learn, grow and develop the skills they need to succeed both inside and outside the classroom.

You may support pupils during emotional outbursts, behavioural incidents or moments of crisis.

You'll need resilience, consistency and a calm approach.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
