Programme Manager

Salary: £24,800 - 26,400 per annum (£(phone number removed) FTE depending on experience)

Ablaze is looking for a passionate and organised individual play a key role in delivering and strengthening our secondary and post‑16 programmes for young people.

We are seeking a confident and motivated Programme Manager to deliver our Employment & Skills workshops for 16-24yr olds and support our Career Mentoring Programme. This role will focus on high‑quality workshop delivery and meaningful impact measurement. The successful candidate will be comfortable working directly with young people, including those who are NEET or at risk of becoming NEET, and confident building relationships with teachers, employers and delivery partners.

They will also play a key role in ensuring our programmes remain relevant, engaging and responsive to the needs of the young people we support.

The Programme Manager will play a key role in delivering high-quality careers and employability programmes for young people, with a particular focus on impact measurement, employer engagement and employment and skills delivery.

Working closely with existing team members including our Senior Programme Manager and Employment and Skills Project Manager, this role will ensure that programme delivery is supported by strong evaluation, meaningful employer feedback and high-quality experiences for young people, particularly those who are NEET or at risk of becoming NEET.

Key Responsibilities

Career Mentoring Programme Support

Attend Career Mentoring sessions at schools and businesses
Build relationships with partner schools & businesses to ensure smooth programme delivery
Employment & Skills Programme Delivery

Delivery of Employability and Skills Workshops for NEET young people
Adapt content to meet the needs of different groups and learning styles
Lead ongoing development of workshop content
Work closely with Employment & Skills Project Manager to ensure programme outcomes
Impact Measurement & Reporting

Lead on collection, analysis and reporting of Career Mentoring programme impact data
Produce high-quality impact reports for business partners and stakeholders
Develop feedback loops with schools, volunteers and employers
Track key outcomes and contribute to continuous improvement of programmes
Employer & Stakeholder Engagement

Act as a key point of contact for employer partners in relation to impact and reporting
Gather and share feedback from programme volunteers
Support the development of strong, long-term corporate relationships
Represent the organisation at events and partner meetings where needed
Programme Development & Collaboration

Work collaboratively with our Senior Programme Manager and Employment & Skills Project Manager to ensure alignment across programmes
Contribute to content refinement based on feedback and impact data
Support cross-programme learning and best practice sharing
Assist in scaling and improving programme delivery models
Person Specification

Essential Skills & Experience

Experience delivering programmes or workshops for young people

Experience of session planning and evaluations
Strong understanding of employability, careers education or youth engagement
Experience in monitoring, evaluation or impact reporting
Excellent communication and relationship management skills
Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively in a team
Desire to champion and uphold our mission and values
Desirable

Experience working with NEET young people or vulnerable groups
Experience working with businesses or corporate volunteers
Knowledge of education or skills sector frameworks
Driving licence and access to a vehicle
