Our partner school provides education for secondary‑aged students who require additional behavioural, emotional, and pastoral support. The RoleAs an SEMH Teacher, you will play a key role in supporting students with a range of complex needs and barriers to learning. Your responsibilities will include:
- Delivering engaging and accessible lessons across your subject specialism.
- Building strong, professional relationships with students to encourage engagement and trust.
- Supporting pupils to manage their emotions and behaviours positively.
- Creating personalised learning experiences that meet individual needs and targets.
- Working alongside pastoral teams, support staff, and external agencies to provide holistic support.
- Celebrating progress and helping students develop self‑confidence and independence.
- Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification.
- Has experience working with secondary‑aged pupils.
- Understands the challenges faced by young people with SEMH needs.
- Can remain calm, adaptable, and solution‑focused in a dynamic environment.
- Is committed to inclusion and believes every student deserves the opportunity to succeed.
- Has strong classroom and behaviour management skills.
- Values teamwork and collaborative working.
- Small teaching groups and a highly supportive staffing structure.
