Lecturer in Computing and Cyber Security

Hours:
16.32 teaching hours and 9.93 non‑contact hours.
This role supports learners to develop technical knowledge, problem‑solving skills and professional skills needed for progression into the digital sector. You will teach across our computing provision, including the Level 3 Cyber Security evening course for adults on Thursday evenings, and may contribute to the development of games‑related provision as part of our wider digital curriculum growth.
Responsibilities- Deliver high‑quality teaching in computing and cyber security programmes.
- Support learners to develop technical confidence and problem‑solving skills.
- Deliver the Level 3 Cyber Security provision for adults, including Thursday evening sessions.
- Contribute to curriculum development in response to learner, employer and industry needs.
- Support development of games technology or related digital production provision where relevant.
- Strong experience in computing, cyber security, networking or digital systems.
- Experience delivering Level 3 or adult education courses preferred.
- Teacher qualification or willingness to train to teach.
- Eligible further education teachers can apply for the levelling up premium payments scheme (autumn 2024 – spring 2025).
- Two‑week paid Christmas close down and paid time off over Easter.
