Protocol Education are recruiting on behalf of an inclusive school in Mangotsfield seeking dedicated SEN Teaching Assistants to support pupils with additional learning needs.

What You'll Be DoingNo two days are the same as an SEN Teaching Assistant. You may find yourself:
- Supporting a pupil with autism to engage successfully in classroom activities.
- Helping students develop communication, social, and emotional skills.
- Delivering targeted intervention sessions under the guidance of teaching staff.
- Using visual aids, sensory resources, and structured routines to support learning.
- Encouraging independence and celebrating individual achievements.
- Assisting pupils during lessons, break times, and transitions throughout the school day.
- Helping create a calm, positive, and inclusive learning environment.
Our partner school caters for pupils aged 3-11 with a range of special educational needs, including Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), communication and interaction difficulties, and moderate learning needs. The school is based in Mangotsfield.

What We're Looking ForSuccessful candidates will typically have:
- A genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude.
- The ability to build trust and positive relationships with pupils.
- Experience in education, childcare, care work, support work, youth services, or similar fields (desirable but not essential).
- A willingness to learn and develop within a specialist educational environment.
- Access to a wide range of SEN opportunities across Bristol.
- Long-term placements with the possibility of permanent contracts.
- Ongoing support from experienced education consultants.
- Opportunities to gain valuable SEND experience and specialist training.

Protocol Education are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. All successful applicants will require an Enhanced Child Only DBS on the Update Service, referencing and safeguarding checks.
BenefitsAll pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
We offer online safeguarding and Prevent Duty training to all workers. All candidates must undertake or have undertaken a valid enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check and subscribe to the DBS Update Service.
