Cover Supervisor - Secondary Schools
Bristol | £120‑£160 per day (depending on experience) | Start September 2026 | Weekly PAYE Pay

Connex Education is recruiting confident and motivated Cover Supervisors to work within secondary schools across Bristol and the surrounding area. Full training and ongoing support are provided, making this an excellent opportunity to develop your skills and build experience in the classroom. As a Cover Supervisor, you’ll step into lessons when teachers are absent, ensuring students remain focused on their work and maintaining a positive learning environment throughout the school day.
Your Role Will Include- Leading lessons using work that has been prepared by teaching staff.
- Monitoring student engagement and encouraging participation in learning activities.
- Managing classroom behaviour effectively and consistently.
- Supporting students to remain on task and meet lesson objectives.
- Following safeguarding procedures and school policies at all times.
- Competitive daily pay rates paid weekly via PAYE.
- Flexible work options, including day‑to‑day and longer‑term assignments.

- Have experience working with young people, either in education, coaching, mentoring, youth work, or similar settings.
- Possess strong communication and organisational skills.
- Are confident leading groups of students in a classroom environment.
- Can adapt quickly and build positive relationships with staff and pupils.
- Have a good understanding of safeguarding and child protection.
- Hold an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or are willing to obtain one.
All appointments are subject to rigorous pre‑employment checks, including references and an enhanced DBS check.
