We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Learning Partner to join a specialist resource base within a welcoming primary school in North Bristol.
This provision supports pupils with communication and interaction needs, including autism, within an inclusive environment that promotes independence, confidence, and a sense of belonging. The school places strong emphasis on high expectations, positive relationships, and ensuring every child is supported to achieve their full potential.
The RoleWorking closely with teachers and specialist staff, you will:
- Support pupils with additional needs within the resource base and wider school environment
- Deliver targeted interventions and assist with personalised learning programmes
- Encourage the development of communication, social, and emotional skills
- Help create a calm, structured, and nurturing learning environment
- Build positive relationships with pupils, families, and colleagues
We welcome applications from candidates who:
- Have experience working with children or young people in educational, care, youth work, or community settings
- Demonstrate patience, resilience, and excellent interpersonal skills
- Have a genuine interest in supporting pupils with SEND
- Are committed to inclusive education and child‑centred practice
- Are eager to develop their knowledge and skills within a specialist setting
Formal teaching assistant qualifications are not essential, as full training and ongoing support will be provided.
Professional DevelopmentThe successful candidate will have access to:
- Team Teach training
- Paediatric First Aid certification
- Ongoing SEND‑focused CPD opportunities
- Dedicated consultant support throughout the placement
- Weekly PAYE pay, with no umbrella company arrangements
All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
