We are looking for a committed and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant who will work closely with teachers to provide targeted support to pupils, helping them overcome barriers to learning and achieve their full potential. You will play a key part in creating a positive, inclusive classroom environment where every student feels valued and confident to thrive.
We seek a patient, caring, and motivated individual with strong communication skills and a genuine desire to make a difference. Previous experience in an educational setting is desirable but not essential—full training and development opportunities are provided.
Key responsibilities:- Provide in-class support to students, working alongside teachers to enhance learning and engagement
- Assist pupils with additional needs, adapting support to meet individual learning plans
- Encourage positive behaviour and help maintain a focused, inclusive classroom environment
- Support small group work and deliver targeted interventions where required
- Monitor and record student progress, providing feedback to teachers
- Work collaboratively with teaching staff, SENCO, and other professionals
SCP5-7 - £17,645.80 - £18,201.08 - FTE: £25,583.00 - £26,403.00 - 29 hours per week, 39 weeks per year
Qualifications and Skills:- Good standard of education (GCSEs or equivalent, including English and Maths)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to build positive relationships with students and staff
- Patient, empathetic, and resilient approach
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Good organisational skills and attention to detail
