Year 1 Learning Support Assistant (1:1) Some children need a little extra help finding their confidence in the classroom.

We're working with a welcoming primary school in Horfield looking for a Flexible Learning Partner to provide dedicated 1:1 support within a Year 1 class.
The school supports a high number of pupils with complex SEND needs and is looking for someone who can bring patience, consistency, and a nurturing approach to the school day.
This role would suit someone who genuinely enjoys building relationships, celebrating progress, and helping children feel safe and supported in their learning environment.
You'll be joining a friendly and supportive team where SEND support staff are valued and no day is ever quite the same.
What you'll be doing:
- Providing 1:1 support for a pupil within the Year 1 classroom
- Supporting children with complex SEND needs throughout the school day
- Helping with emotional regulation, classroom engagement, communication, and routines
- Working closely with the class teacher and wider SEND team
- Creating a positive, calm, and encouraging learning environment We're looking for someone who:
- Has previous SEND experience within a school or similar setting
- Feels confident supporting pupils with complex additional needs
- Is calm, patient, and adaptable in challenging situations
- Can build positive relationships quickly with pupils and staff
- Is reliable, proactive, and ready to start ASAP Due to the location of the school, driving is preferred.
However, the school can also be accessed via train and bus routes.
Enhanced child-only DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to apply for one

Right to work in the UK
Overseas police checks required for any overseas stays longer than 3 months within the past 5 years

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of
12.07% statutory holiday pay.
