33 hours per week, Term Time Only, plus INSETs

NJC Pay Scale 5, actual starting salary £19,954

St Nicholas of Tolentine Primary School is looking to appoint an enthusiastic Learning Support Assistants (LSA) to work as part of a busy team, starting in September to support our SEN children and more widely in the classroom.

We are looking for a support member of staff with a passion for supporting the learning of our children with Special Educational Needs. Our school serves a diverse community, where, as recognised by Ofsted "inclusion is at the heart of the school" and there is "a real sense of belonging" for both pupils and staff. • Supporting individual pupils and small groups to access learning and make progress
• Working alongside teachers to create a safe, purposeful and inclusive learning environment
• Delivering and reviewing targeted interventions
• Supporting pupils' social, emotional and personal development
• Working collaboratively with teachers, parents and external professionals to support pupil success

• Has a commitment to the Catholic ethos of the school
• Has experience of working in a school setting
• Has experience of working with children with SEN and to have some experience with children who have English as an additional language
• Has a commitment to helping children achieve their potential
• Has the ability to show initiative and adapt to the needs of the role
• Has a willingness to work well as part of the team
• Who are determined, resilient and have high expectations of themselves and others
• Who is flexible, have a good sense of humour and has an understanding of the  bigger picture
