Are you passionate about making a lasting difference to the lives of young people?

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Pastoral Lead to join our pastoral team and play a key role in ensuring every student feels safe, supported and able to thrive. Working with a designated year group, you will champion students' wellbeing, attendance, behaviour and personal development, creating a strong sense of identity and belonging while helping them overcome barriers to learning and achieve their full potential.

As Pastoral Lead, you will build positive relationships with students, families, staff and external agencies to provide high‑quality pastoral care and targeted interventions. You will lead a team of tutors, support the delivery of the tutor programme, monitor attendance and behaviour, respond to safeguarding and welfare concerns, and use data to identify and implement effective strategies for students who need additional support.

This varied role requires excellent communication, resilience and the ability to manage challenging situations with empathy, professionalism and sound judgement.

This is a rewarding opportunity for an experienced pastoral professional who is committed to improving outcomes for young people and fostering an inclusive, positive school culture. If you are an organised, proactive individual with a passion for supporting students' wellbeing and development, we would love to hear from you. Join our Hanham Woods Academy and become part of a dedicated team committed to ensuring every student has the opportunity to succeed both academically and personally.
