About This Role
Senior Lecturer in Quantity Surveying and Commercial Management (Full‑time, Permanent). The role is based at UWE Bristol’s Frenchay Campus and focuses on delivering the BSc (Hons) Quantity Surveying and Commercial Management programme, and contributing to wider built‑environment courses.
Responsibilities- Teach QS‑related content to both specialist and interdisciplinary groups, covering modules from QS Practice and Procedures to International Cost Management and Commercial Management.
- Support learner development and assessment across the full project lifecycle.
- Contribute to curriculum development, including embedding sustainability, innovation and professionalism.
- Engage with industry partners to enrich teaching, including work placements and apprenticeship pathways.
- Maintain industry relevance through knowledge of UK construction standards (NRM, JCT, NEC).
- Industry practice and/or teaching experience in quantity surveying and commercial management.
- Advanced expertise in measurement and estimating (particularly NRM 1 &
2), procurement, contract administration (JCT, NEC), cost planning and commercial management. - Understanding of Degree Apprenticeship programmes and workforce development.
- Desirable: RICS Chartership or progression toward it within a reasonable timeline.
- Commitment to professional teaching standards and continuous development.
• Full‑time, permanent position; job share basis available for part‑time application.
