Axcis Education is recruiting on behalf of a welcoming primary school in Yate seeking a dedicated Primary Intervention Teacher to work with a small group of pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN). This is a fantastic opportunity for a teacher who enjoys delivering personalised learning, building strong relationships and helping children develop the confidence and skills they need to succeed.
Responsibilities- Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons for a small group of pupils with SEN.
- Adapt learning to meet a range of additional needs, including autism, ADHD, speech and language needs, and moderate learning difficulties.
- Monitor progress and adapt interventions to support individual outcomes.
- Create a calm, structured and nurturing learning environment.
- Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, the SENCO and external professionals.
- Support pupils' social, emotional and communication development alongside their academic progress.
- Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
- Has experience teaching within a UK primary school.
- Has a genuine passion for inclusive education and supporting children with additional needs.
- Can adapt teaching to meet a wide range of learning styles and abilities.
- Builds positive, trusting relationships with pupils, families and colleagues.
- Is patient, creative and committed to helping every child succeed.
- Experience working with SEND is highly desirable, although teachers with a strong interest in specialist education are also encouraged to apply.
