Wehave a vacancy for a Level 1 tutor to expand our existing team at Bristol School of Art. We are seeking to appoint an individual with passion and excellent communication skills, in addition to a desire to make a difference to the lives of our Level 1 creative learners. The successful candidate will join our creative team at the WISE campus.
Bristol School of Art has an excellent reputation for outstanding creative provision across both campuses. We enrich learners with new interests and skill, promoting wellbeing, social inclusion as a gateway to further and higher education and/ or creative careers.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities- The candidate should be confident in delivering engaging lessons to level 1 leaners. Support students personal and academic growth, whilst fostering a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes emotional well-being, encourages participation and celebrates each student’s unique talents.
- The successful candidate will have the ability to inspire and motive all students with a range of needs and experiences.
- A knowledge of the UAL qualifications would be beneficial.
- We welcome applications from any discipline however we are looking for a lecturer with multidisciplinary skills and SEND experience.
- Promote innovation and real-world employability skills.
Skills & Qualifications
- Further Education Lecturing experience
- BA in a relevant discipline
- Teaching qualification is desirable or a willingness to obtain a PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification.
- A proven aptitude for teaching and experience of teaching creative subjects.
- Experience of successful undertaking administrative responsibilities associated with the delivery of learning materials and the assessment of student work.
- A creative practitioner/ educationalist to deliver diagnostic and specialist, inter & multidisciplinary courses.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are essential
- Excellent organisational and administrative skills
- Computer literacy and ICT competence.
