Lecturer (EAP

We are looking for anEAP practitioner comfortable working with any discipline in any context who are looking for an opportunity to develop their EAP and leadership skills beyond the classroom by taking on additional responsibilities and opportunities for development in the area ofunit development and management.

Alongside your teaching responsibilities, you will work under the close supervision of a programme director to manage and continually improve the quality of any given provision within CALD. We aim to rotate areas of focus within the Centre so you should be comfortable working across all areas. Your focus may change from one year to the next, depending on the business needs of the  the first instance,you will be working on our in-sessional provision.

At any one time you may have responsibilities for managing the delivery and quality assurance of one provision, whilst working on the development and quality enhancement of another and teaching on a third. You will be working as a member of a course team alongside teaching associates and under the supervision of a programme director.

You will work closely with programme directors to:

• collaborate with colleagues across disciplines and contexts to identify student and provision needs
• educate staff through network and relationship building on what we do at the centre, why we do it to encourage interschool collaborations
• develop a variety of provisions across the range of centre areas (IFP, Pre-Sessional, Insessional)
• work closely with colleagues across the centre to collaboratively lead a team of EAP practitioners in developing theoretical and pedagogical expertise
• participate in and, where appropriate, lead course team activity
• lead colleagues within the teaching team to promote understanding of the course designed.

Contract type:
Open ended from 12th October 2026

Work pattern:
Full time / 35 hours per week
