The Role As an Early Years Practitioner, you'll support children in EYFS and early Key Stage 1, helping them develop confidence, independence and a love of learning through play-based activities and nurturing relationships.

No two days are the same. From story time and messy play to outdoor exploration and celebrating developmental milestones, you'll be helping children build the foundations they'll carry throughout their education.

You may work with individual children, small groups or alongside the class teacher to create engaging and inclusive learning experiences for every child.

Key Responsibilities Support children aged 2–5 within nursery and Early Years settings, with opportunities to work in Key Stage
1.Create a safe, caring and stimulating environment where children can thrive.

Encourage early communication, language, literacy and numeracy development through play.

Support children's social, emotional and personal development.

Assist with daily routines, including mealtimes, personal care and transitions throughout the day.

Build positive relationships with children, families and school staff.

Adapt activities to meet the needs of all learners, including children with SEND.Help create an inclusive and engaging learning environment where every child feels valued.

About You We're looking for someone who is:

Passionate about supporting young children's learning and development.

Calm, patient and naturally nurturing.

Confident building positive relationships with children, families and colleagues.

Comfortable supporting children aged 2–5, with some KS1 experience desirable.

Flexible, reliable and eager to make a positive impact.

Understanding of individual learning needs, including SEND, is beneficial.

What We Need to Get You Started Valid passport

Two proofs of address (such as a driving licence, utility bill or council tax letter)
An up-to-date CV covering the last 10 years of work or education, with any gaps explained

Two years of references, including childcare, education or youth work references where applicable

An Overseas Police Check (OSPC) if you have lived overseas for three months or more within the last five years

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
