Prospero Teaching are currently looking for a passionate and experienced SEN Teacher to join a specialist educational setting in Bristol. This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated teacher who is committed to making a genuine difference to the lives of young people with additional needs.

The successful candidate will be working with pupils who may have a range of additional needs, including Autism, Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, ADHD, communication difficulties and complex learning needs. The role will involve creating a safe, structured and engaging classroom environment where every pupil is supported to develop academically, socially and emotionally.

You will be responsible for planning and delivering creative, differentiated lessons that are adapted to the individual abilities, needs and learning styles of the pupils. The school places a strong emphasis on developing positive relationships, building confidence and helping pupils make meaningful progress towards their individual goals.

Key Responsibilities

Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons that meet the individual needs and abilities of pupils.
Adapt the curriculum and teaching approaches to ensure all pupils can access learning and achieve their potential.
Establish positive and trusting relationships with pupils, creating a classroom environment where they feel safe, valued and encouraged.
Support pupils with a range of SEN, including Autism, SEMH, ADHD and complex learning needs.
Use a range of teaching strategies, practical activities and creative approaches to maintain engagement and encourage learning.
Promote positive behaviour through consistent, supportive and appropriate behaviour-management strategies.
Monitor, assess and record pupil progress, adapting teaching and interventions where required.
Work closely with Teaching Assistants and other support staff to ensure pupils receive consistent and effective support.
Contribute to individual education plans, targets and other relevant pupil documentation
