We're working with a welcoming and highly supportive primary school in BS14 that is looking to appoint a dedicated Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) for a permanent role starting in November.

You'll work closely with teachers, support learning across the primary age range, and help create a positive environment where every child feels valued and ready to succeed.

What You'll Be Doing As a HLTA, you'll be a key part of the school's teaching and support team, with responsibilities including:

Supporting teaching and learning across KS1 and KS2

Leading targeted interventions and small-group sessions

Delivering planned learning activities and supporting whole-class teaching

Working collaboratively with teachers to promote pupil progress

Encouraging confidence, engagement, and positive attitudes to learning

Providing flexible support wherever needed to ensure smooth day-to-day school life Building strong relationships with pupils, families, and colleagues

We're Looking For Someone Who:

Holds HLTA status or has significant experience in a teaching support role

Is confident supporting learning across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2

Can lead interventions and support whole-class learning when required

Has excellent communication and relationship-building skills

Brings a calm, patient, and positive approach to working with children

Is flexible, proactive, and able to adapt to the needs of the school dayIs committed to helping every pupil reach their full potential

What We Need to Clear You To get you registered and ready for work, we'll need:

Passport or proof of right to work in the UKTwo proofs of addressA CV covering the last 10 years of employment and/or education, with any gaps explained

References covering the last two years, including education or childcare experience where applicable

An overseas police check if you have lived abroad for three months or more within the last five years
