KS1 Learning Support

The early years of a child's education can shape their confidence for years to come.

We're working with a number of welcoming primary schools across BS6 that are looking for enthusiastic and caring Learning Support Assistants to join their Key Stage 1 teams from October.

These schools are passionate about creating positive learning environments where children feel safe, supported, and excited to learn. As a Learning Support Assistant, you'll play a key role in helping pupils develop the skills, confidence, and independence they need to flourish both inside and outside the classroom.

What You'll Be Doing Working alongside class teachers and wider school staff, you'll help create engaging and inclusive learning experiences for KS1 pupils.

Your role may include:

Supporting teaching and learning across Key Stage 1 classrooms

Delivering targeted 1:1 and small-group interventions

Assisting teachers with engaging and creative learning activities

Supporting the development of early literacy, numeracy, and communication skills

Encouraging positive behaviour and strong classroom routines

Helping pupils build confidence, resilience, and independence

Contributing to a nurturing and supportive learning environment

Candidates with childcare, youth work, coaching, or support work experience

Previous school experience is beneficial but not essential. A positive attitude, willingness to learn, and commitment to supporting children are what matter most.

An overseas police check if you have lived abroad for three months or more within the last five years
