A welcoming and values-driven infant school is looking for a dedicated, skilled, and nurturing Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join their team this September.

This is a varied and rewarding role, with mornings spent supporting in class, including delivering phonics groups, and afternoons covering lessons across EYFS, Year 1 and Year 2 using pre-planned materials.

The contract runs until 31st August 2027, with a strong possibility of extension.

What you’ll be doing

Supporting teaching and learning in class each morning

Delivering daily phonics sessions and targeted interventions

Covering whole classes in the afternoons across EYFS and KS1

Working closely with teachers to help children make strong progress

Supporting children with a range of additional needs

Building positive relationships with pupils, families, and staff

Contributing to a consistent, team-led approach to learning and behaviour

You’ll also be part of regular team meetings, liaising with parents and professionals, and stepping in to support during teacher absence when needed.

Flexible, based on 8.30 - 15.30 each day

Term time only + 5 INSET days Start:

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
