2026 UK Graduate Electrical Engineering Career Path:
Water Sector – Mott Mac Donald

Mott Mac Donald is inviting applications for the 2026 UK Graduate Electrical Engineering Career Path focused on the Water Sector. This 3‑year early‑career role offers structured training, mentorship and experience on projects that improve water, wastewater, flood protection and environmental resilience.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Prepare and review electrical and ICA (EICA) designs for water and wastewater infrastructure, covering both infrastructure and non‑infrastructure assets.
  • Develop drawings and documentation such as plant general arrangements, power single‑line diagrams, cable block diagrams, instrumentation loop diagrams, P&IDs, control‑system architecture and I/O schedules.
  • Collaborate with clients, contractors and internal teams to deliver integrated, sustainable solutions.
  • Leverage digital tools and data‑driven approaches to enhance design quality and efficiency.
  • Gain exposure to project and commercial management through mentoring, training and our Early Careers Professionals Network.

Eligibility & Qualifications

  • Minimum 12 months of relevant experience (excluding placements).
  • Bachelor’s degree (obtained no earlier than 2024) or expected to achieve in Electrical Engineering, Electrical & Electronic Engineering, Electrical and Mechanical Engineering, or any other electrical‑engineering‑related discipline.
