Stress Engineer

Are you looking for a new contract assignment? Do you have experience performing stress analysis on aerospace structures? If so, this position could be perfect for you! Our client (a Tier 1, well‑respected, and market‑leading aerospace organisation) is looking to recruit several Senior Stress Engineers on a contract basis to support a large programme of work.

Contract basis: 6‑month duration, UK aerospace programme, multiple positions available; outside or inside IR35.

• Perform stress analysis of composite and metallic aerospace structures
• Produce stress reports and substantiation documentation to aerospace standards
• Support design, development, and qualification of composite components and assemblies
• Provide technical input to internal and customer design reviews
• Utilise industry‑standard FEA tools to support analysis activities

• Extensive experience as a Stress Engineer within the aerospace industry
• Strong background in composite stress analysis and substantiation
• Proficient with FEA tools such as NASTRAN / PATRAN, Hyper Works, or equivalent
• Understanding of aerospace certification and stress methodologies
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with the ability to support complex engineering decisions
