This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Structural Engineer to join a leading team in Bath and play a key role in delivering some of the UK’s most significant and architecturally ambitious projects. The Role
You’ll be part of a highly regarded team delivering innovative and sustainable structural engineering solutions on major UK and international projects. From landmark cultural buildings to state-of-the-art sports venues and complex commercial schemes, you’ll have the chance to contribute to work that shapes skylines and communities. This is a technically challenging position, suited to someone who enjoys pushing boundaries in design and leading teams to success.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and deliver creative structural engineering solutions for large, complex projects
* Produce high-quality calculations, models, reports, and presentations on time and within budget
* Review work for quality assurance and present designs at client and stakeholder meetings
* Collaborate with architects, clients, and multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated solutions
* Support bid proposals and competition entries
* Mentor and guide junior engineers while contributing to the development of the wider team
* Build and maintain strong professional networks, both internally and externally
About You
* Extensive structural design experience, ideally on large or high-profile UK projects
* Proven track record as a lead engineer delivering technically demanding schemes
* Strong knowledge of British, US, and European design codes
* Skilled in analysis software (e.g., CSC Fastrak, TEDDS, ROBOT, ETABS, SAFE)
* Experience with BIM/modelling software (e.g., Revit, Rhino, Grasshopper)
* Chartered (IStruct
E/ICE or equivalent) with relevant degree qualifications
* A collaborative leader with a passion for mentoring and team development
