Civil Engineer

Position: Civil Engineer (Permanent)
We have an opening for a Civil Engineer to join our clients lively Bristol office. From sustainable drainage solutions and infrastructure to complex highway design, their technical knowledge and experience is exceptional.

Currently made up of a team of Engineers / Technicians the team sits at over 20 and are looking to expand due to a heavy workload. They have extensive experience in supporting schemes from pre-planning and feasibility assessments to detailed design, technical approvals and construction.

From sustainable drainage solutions and infrastructure to complex highway design, our technical knowledge and experience delivers where it matters – on site and in the ground.

You'll be joining a group of talented engineers with extensive experience in supporting schemes from pre-planning and feasibility assessments to detailed design, technical approvals and construction. The have a collaborative & sustainable approach to drainage systems (SuDS) provides vital design criteria to inform a master plan and allow coordination with other technical services through the planning process.

What you need to succeed

A minimum of 3+ years UK design experience, ideally within the residential and commercial sectors.

To be able to prepare drainage strategies and engineering reports to support planning applications & prepare technical drawings such as sketch highway designs, preliminary highway designs, drainage and external works designs, ground modelling, S104, S278 and S38 drawings with the subsequent negotiation through to approval.

To have experience in liaising with stakeholders, external project team members and clients.

Undertake site visits when required.

Obtain information, such as drawings and utility searches from third parties.

Working collaboratively within your team and with others on multidisciplinary projects
