Structural Design Engineer

Looking for Structural Engineers/ Resident Engineers — we are currently working with a well‑known Engineering consultancy specialising in sectors such as Aviation, sports, Healthcare etc. Our client is looking for skilled engineers with experience in design as well as on‑site. This will be working across a complex project based near Bristol.

• Hourly rates Outside IR35 (large rate variation depending on experience).
• 5 days required on site per week

• Collaborating between the office‑based structural team, the site‑based teams, the Contractor teams and the wider Stakeholder teams
• Working independently and as part of a team to produce reports and presentations to an excellent standard.
• Share and disseminate work amongst the Site team and the office‑based design team.
• Leading the Structural Site team by planning ahead, making decisions and corrective action whilst delivering excellent work.
• Recording and communicating observations and variations of structural site works as they progress

• Extensive experience as a Site‑Based Engineer, Resident Engineer or Clerk of Works
• Broad and varied structural design experience on major projects, working around British and European codes of practice
• Be a Chartered Member of the ICE or IStruct
  
  E with the Engineering Council UK or other relevant body
• A Bachelor's degree (BEng / BSc) or a Master's degree (MEng / MSc) in a relevant dicipline
• Ability to provide mentoring to more junior team members as a line manager, and show a willingness to be part
