Evodia Limited is partnering with a reputed client to find a highly skilled SC Cleared Lead Safety Engineer specialising in Land Systems, based in Bristol. This is an excellent chance for an experienced safety professional to lead crucial safety initiatives in high-stakes environments, with the flexibility of hybrid working (2-3 days onsite per week). About the Role As the Lead Safety Engineer, you will be at the forefront of ensuring safety compliance and guiding safety practices across Land Systems projects.

Your expertise will be instrumental in shaping safety policies, managing improvement plans for acquisition safety, and delivering technical safety assurance in line with UK and EU legislation, as well as MOD regulations where applicable.

Key responsibilities include:

Providing vital safety advice and guidance for Land Systems projects Leading the development and maintenance of safety policies and processes to meet corporate standards Conducting reviews, audits, and inspections to uphold compliance Assessing safety work to ensure technical solutions effectively manage risks Managing the safety aspects of high-risk, high-consequence activities within acquisition programmes What We're Looking For Our ideal candidate will possess a blend of technical expertise, leadership experience, and formal professional accreditation:
Essential:
Chartered Engineer (CEng) Expert or Practitioner status in System Safety disciplines Membership of a recognised Professional Safety or Engineering Institute Extensive experience with ASEMS and system safety management tools and processes Proven experience managing safety teams within high-risk projects Relevant Level 6 (or higher) qualification or equivalent experience SC clearance is mandatory Desirable:
Previous experience supporting Land Systems projects from a safety perspective Details

Until 30 June 2026, with scope to extend Day rate:
