Principal Civil Engineer - Infrastructure

As our new Infrastructure Principal Engineer you'll be responsible for leading on Civil Engineering / Infrastructure design for projects led by the Infrastructure team or projects led by other departments where Ramboll's offering is multi-disciplinary. You will also have a direct connection with the wider Infrastructure Teams based across the UK. Infrastructure projects could include Sustainable drainage (SuDS), surface water & foul water drainage, utilities, earthworks & highways.

• Leading the design and development of civil and infrastructure engineering inputs for a mix of project types including local authority, residential, commercial and industrial developments
• Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to integrate designs with other project components
• Providing technical advice, line management and mentoring to team members to support project delivery and professional development
• Financial management of projects including fee forecasting, fee preparation, and allocation
• Planning and managing work activities to ensure efficient and effective project execution.
• Engaging with stakeholders and clients throughout the design process to achieve required certifications and approvals.
• Apply and promote policies relating to health and safety (including CDM Regulations), quality assurance, and training
• Establishing relationships with individuals from other organisations, generating market intelligence and new business opportunities.
• Preparation of discipline specific bid documentation including pricing.
• Championing and advocating Ramboll Global Strategy 'Partner for Sustainable Change'

• Technical knowledge in civil engineering including SuDS, Surface and Foul Water drainage and earthworks design and proficient in relevant standards
• Experience in delivering projects to all RIBA Stages
• Experience in delivering sustainable solutions within the infrastructure projects
• Demonstrated ability to lead single or multi-disciplinary projects
• Strong written and communication skills, with experience in preparing technical documents and reports
• Able to gain Baseline Personal Security Standard (BPSS) and Security Check (SC)
• Degree in Civil Engineering (desirable)
• Professional accreditation as a Chartered or Incorporated Engineer or equivalent (desirable)
