Principal Electrical Engineer – Building Services

We are looking for a Principal Electrical Engineer with previous experience working in a consultancy environment to join our Places Design Practice. In this role, you’ll be delivering elegant and efficient electrical design solutions on exciting and challenging projects for key clients.

• Lead the electrical design on larger projects, working collaboratively with other design disciplines to ensure the integration of the overall design or solution.
• Present complex technical solutions to clients.
• Manage project teams with up to 10 people, providing technical advice to team members, supporting them in their delivery and professional development.
• Manage the performance of team members and sub‑contractors, identifying and ensuring the resolution of any issues.

• A BSc/BEng or MSc/MEng in Electrical Engineering or similar.
• Chartered Engineer (CEng).
• Previous experience working in a similar role.
• Prior experience working in a consultancy environment.
• Ability to support and lead junior engineers.
