Senior Energy Consultant – Energy Advisory – Bristol
OverviewWe are seeking an experienced technical specialist to lead project teams delivering advanced energy advisory services. The role focuses on energy management, efficiency and net‑zero delivery across public, industrial and commercial sectors.
Key Responsibilities- Programme and project management, ensuring quality deliverables and acting as a project reviewer.
- Engage stakeholders at all levels and maintain knowledge of energy/carbon policy, markets and sustainability trends.
- Appraise energy generation technologies and conduct life‑cycle cost analysis.
- Perform energy management, asset reviews, audit surveys and demand modelling to develop low‑carbon solutions, either by reconfiguring existing operations or creating new strategies.
- Prepare bids, deliver to tight timescales, and manage multiple schemes simultaneously.
- Provide innovative technical solutions and support operations and sales teams.
- Promote a positive health and safety culture, especially in early design stages.
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering or an equivalent process‑related field.
- Significant experience in the energy field, including design and operation of process equipment.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to develop clear work programmes and communicate requirements.
- In-depth knowledge of environmental, carbon and energy policy, and how it applies to organisations and projects.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to produce evidence‑based advice, reports and presentations.
- Capability to develop standard engineering deliverables such as heat and mass balances.
- Proficiency in quantitative and problem‑solving skills.
