About the RoleHave a proven track record leading projects in your discipline and overall project teams. Demonstrate personal input that has led to commissioning wins or successful delivery.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and supervise design and technical advice within the mechanical, electrical, and public health (MEP) discipline team.
- Work independently with minimal supervision on all technical aspects of the discipline.
- Interpret client needs and align them with project delivery requirements.
- Supervise detailed design work and the production of detailed and performance specifications.
- Conduct feasibility studies and oversee their completion.
- Ensure design programmes are reviewed and resources allocated appropriately.
- Strong forward workload / order book into the middle of next year.
- Growing team with medium‑term career progression opportunities.
- Collaboration with likeminded individuals on challenging projects.
- 26 MEP engineers as part of a national team of 400.
- Base at Bristol office – convenient commute.
- Similar workload and career progression opportunities as Bristol.
- Collaboration on exciting projects.
- 20 MEP engineers in Cardiff, part of the national MEP team.
- Base at Cardiff office – convenient commute.
- Knowledge of UK and European regulations applicable to the discipline.
- Proficiency with electrical design software packages, Revit MEP, AutoCAD.
- Ability to sketch and communicate technical detail.
- Must obtain UK vetting level of Security Check (SC).
- Low voltage distribution systems; standby generation; UPS systems.
- Cable calculations, lighting calculations, small power.
- Fire alarms; intruder detection; access control & security systems.
- Disabled call systems; data cabling and outlets; lightning protection.
- BEng/BSc/MEng in applicable engineering discipline.
- Accredited honours degree or experience leading to Chartership.
- Working towards I Eng or C Eng status.
- Revit
MEP training for the discipline.
