Join Our Team as a Technical Estimator
As a Technical Estimator, you’ll be at the heart of our sales team, crafting precise and competitive quotations for our innovative GRP and Galv tanks. Specializing in service works, you will collaborate closely with our Technical Services Sales Representative and have the potential to further your expertise into sales and project management as you grow in the role.
What You’ll Be DoingIn this role, you will:
- Raise technical quotations for GRP and Galv tanks using the bespoke system.
- Specialize in service works quotations.
- Ensure accuracy and compliance with customer requirements and company standards.
- Work closely with the UK Sales Manager and Technical Services Sales Representative.
- Collaborate with the operations teams to gather necessary information for accurate quotations.
- Maintain effective communication with customers to understand their needs and provide technical support.
- Interpret engineering drawings and specifications to prepare accurate quotations.
- Stay updated with industry standards and advancements in tank technology.
- Provide technical advice and support to the sales team and customers.
- Ensure customer satisfaction by providing timely and accurate quotations.
- Address customer enquiries and resolve any issues related to quotations.
We’re looking for someone who can hit the ground running. You will ideally have:
- Previous experience in a technical estimating role, preferably in the tank manufacturing or related industry
- Familiarity with GRP and Galv tanks and service works is highly desirable.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in interpreting engineering drawings and specifications.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficient in using Microsoft Excel, Word, and other relevant software.
- Good Standard of secondary education
- A graduate degree is beneficial but not required.
- Tested High level of IT skills
- Ensuring accuracy and compliance with customer requirements and company standards.
- Managing multiple quotations and deadlines effectively.
- Staying updated with industry standards and advancements in tank technology
- Customer‑focused, confident, and able to handle challenging conversations professionally.
