Following the the recent award of a several projects in the Airport, Water, Nuclear and Local Authority sectors, a leading engineering company is searching for a Senior Quantity Surveyor or Managing Quantity Surveyor level professional to join their rapidly expanding team in Bristol.
This is an excellent opportunity to work on some really exciting civil engineering projects all being delivered using the NEC contract. You will also have the opportunity to lead, mentor and inspire a small team of enthusiastic Quantity Surveyors on these projects being delivered across the South West.
Key Responsibilities:
Leading and mentoring a small team of Quantity Surveyors, ensuring professional development and project success
Acting as the primary point of contact for a key client in the South West, following the recent award of a framework
Overseeing quantity surveying activities on civil engineering projects across various sectors including rail, highways, water, nuclear, and energy
Ensuring compliance with NEC contracts and efficiently managing contractual responsibilities
Conducting comprehensive cost analysis and financial reporting for projects
Developing and maintaining strong client relationships through effective communication and service delivery
Collaborating with other departments to ensure integrated project delivery and successful project outcomes
Implementing and monitoring quality control measures and project controls
Job Requirements:
Extensive experience in quantity surveying, particularly within civil engineering projects
Proficiency in working with NEC contracts and understanding their application in project management
Strong leadership and mentoring skills with a passion for guiding teams towards success
Proven track record in managing projects within sectors such as rail, highways, water, nuclear, or energy
Excellent communication and client management skills, with the ability to maintain strong professional relationships
Accurate and detailed-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
Relevant degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field, or equivalent professional qualifications
