On behalf of our client, we are seeking to recruit a Technical Writer on an initial 6‑month contract.

Role: Technical Writer

Pay: 45 per hour via umbrella

Location: Filton (60% onsite after training)

Contract: Monday – Friday, 35 hours per week, 6 months contract

IR35 Status: Inside

Security Clearance: BPSS

• Manage all authoring activities related to the AMM and TSM for Landing Gears.
• Analyze inputs (drawings, design modifications) to define the impact on the maintenance manuals delivered to airlines.
• Manage the source data: planning, technical verification, and incorporation.
• Provide answers in the Tech request tool to customer queries and relevant data to meet customer maintenance and operational needs, ensuring information aligns with Airbus policies, processes, and procedures.
• Monitor and steer subcontracted maintenance authoring activities.
• Lead and chair regular review meetings with the Design office and local subcontractors, managing workload and priorities to deliver tasks on time, within cost, and quality targets.
• Deliver documentation content (creation and updates) in accordance with specifications, contractual commitments, approved schedules, quality standards, and budget objectives.
• Ensure compliance with safety rules, quality processes, and technical data guidelines.
• Provide efficient customer support by answering daily queries and implementing documentation changes when necessary.
• Support daily potential in‑service issues and be proactive in cases of aircraft on ground or when airline questions arise.
• Propose continuous improvements for technical data processes, documentation production activities, and IT tools.
• Represent the department at transnational decision‑making meetings and provide feedback on customer needs.
• Achieve Quality Authorisation to verify and validate technical data products in accordance with M20528, also known as C1 Incoming Inspection.

• Master's degree or equivalent, preferably in Aerospace Engineering or Aircraft Maintenance.
• Knowledge of aircraft maintenance, systems, and production processes and procedures.
• Awareness of international authoring standards and tools.
• Experience with aircraft configuration management.
