The role

As a Principal Systems Integration Engineer, you'll lead the integration of complex hardware and software systems, ensuring solutions are delivered at pace and to the highest standards. This role offers a unique blend of technical leadership, collaboration and innovation working across the entire project lifecycle from bid through to delivery and support.

You'll play a crucial role in delivering mission-critical capabilities, influencing engineering standards and driving quality across multidisciplinary teams, all while developing your own leadership and technical expertise in a fast-moving, high-impact environment.

Day-to-day, you'll be:

  • Leading integration of hardware and software systems across complex projects
  • Supporting bid activities, design development and end-to-end delivery lifecycle
  • Coordinating and collaborating with cross-functional engineering teams and stakeholders
  • Driving engineering governance, standards and quality while resolving technical challenges
  • Overseeing and mentoring multidisciplinary teams, promoting innovation and continuous improvement

This role is full time, 37 hours per week and provides hybrid working arrangements with 2-3 days onsite, potentially up to 4-5 days onsite.

Essential experience
  • Strong experience of integration of hardware and software
  • Experience of BID support
  • Strong stakeholder (both external and internal) management experience.
  • Line management experience.
